Twenty-year wait is finally over.

Eurogamer is at it again with more Nintendo Switch rumors. They are reporting that for the first time in 20 years, a mainline Pokémon game will be found on a Nintendo home console.

Codenamed Pokémon Stars, this installment would follow the Pokémon Sun and Moon games, making this the first generation since Diamond and Pearl on DS to have a third game released. Eurogamer also claims that Pokemon Stars will also be a Nintendo Switch exclusive.

Eurogamer also states on the article that Game Freaks has been working on Pokemon Stars for the Nintendo Switch alongside their development of Pokémon Sun and Moon, and this is something that was already teased but everyone seemed to miss during the initial development trailer.

Pokémon Stars is on track to be release on the Nintendo Switch sometime in 2017, making the first year lineup of games released on the Switch much more impressive. All of this should be officially revealed during the Nintendo Switch Presentation on January 12. But for now, will Pokémon Stars turn out to be Pokémon Eclipse?
