If the Brazil Advisory Rating Board is any indication, RIME, the puzzle-adventure game by Tequila Works is heading to the Nintendo Switch, as well as PS4, Xbox One, and PC as reported by Gematsu.
With the initial trailer shown at GamesCom back in 2013 and announced as a PS4 exclusive title, RIME had a warm reception, drawing comparisons to games like ICO and The Last Guardian due to its art style and puzzle elements.
Afterward, not much was heard from the game and fears of it being stuck in development hell ran rampant. Then back in March of this year, Tequila Works revealed via Twitter that they had reacquired the rights back from Sony, with the game now being able to be released on other consoles as Sony was no longer the publisher.
This is great news for Nintendo fans and possible Switch owners as should be viewed as evidence that developers are having an easier time porting the games for the system. With other games like Stardew Valley, Yooka-Laylee, and Seasons of Heaven coming to the console, there should be no shortage of high-quality indie to take with you.

A release date has yet to be revealed, but here’s hope that we will get additional details just in time for the Nintendo Switch presentation on January 12th.
