No, you didn’t read the headline wrong. According to report by market analytics website App Annie, Pokemon GO made nearly one billion dollars in 2016 as it reached over $950 million dollars last year. For a game that was released just half way through the year, that number is outstanding.
That’s not all, app market analyzer Decluttr says that Pokemon GO is making $2,412.19 every minute. To put that in perspective, thats $3,473,280 a day and on pace for 1.2 billion a year. While we can’t expect this to keep going for much longer as Niantic has made questionable decisions that have driven a large part of the fan-base out. It is interesting to see that the mobile hit is still generating tons of revenue.
