The Game World is Massive
Since The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was announced and said to be an open world, fans have speculated as to how big the world really was. Then when it was demoed back at E3, there were those who attempted to calculate the length from one side to the other and how long it would take to journey, but were limited by it being a demo and not featuring the full game.
Now, Arekkz Gaming who has a copy of the full game released a YouTube video measuring the time from North to South and East to West:
The journey was recorded on foot and with Link jugging, instead of using sprint or riding a horse as Arekkz considers this will be the most prominent means of transportation throughout most of the game. Link will also encounter different obstacles during his trip in the way of mountains, cliffs, and other geographic hurdles, forcing him to take alternative paths.
It will be interesting to see how long the game is for those who decide to only follow and complete the main story versus those who are completionists and go for all side missions and secrets.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is less than a week away, releasing on March 3rd.
