At the Games Developer Conference in San Francisco, Dameon Baker came out to talk about a mystery Switch project previously seen in a trailer. The title now has a tentative title as Project MEKURU, a game developed Japanese developer Over Fence. Mekuru means flipping in Japanese, which ties directly into what its gameplay entails.
It’s a multiplayer game in which players ground-pound tiles to claim territory for their color, the characters are Miis which can collect power-ups to aid them in this turf war-esque game.
Dameon Baker said that development was on track and there should be more information available in the future.
