The Splatoon 2 Global Testfire has come and gone and are we are left with now is the lasting appeal of all of those fond memories splatting your teammates with your favorite ink weapon. Luckily, Digital Foundry is here to remind us of how awesome the experience was, and what we can expect from a technical standpoint when it comes to the game’s eventual release.
Among their discoveries, the game’s resolution is 720p when docked but falls below that when playing portable. But there are some good news as far as the frame-rate goes. During their experience with the game, it stayed at 60fps throughout their matches, not dropping once.

It is evident that Nintendo is concentrating on this game running at a consistent 60fps, a must when it comes to the competitive scene, and Nintendo pushing Splatoon 2 as a real alternative within the eSports scene. Regardless, the game is a couple of months away and it can still go through some changes until then.
