During the Microsoft E3 Conference we saw a glimpse of some updates that Minecraft will be receiving including what I consider one of the most important ones when it comes to Nintendo fans.
The Better Update update brings what most fans have been clamoring for a while now, which is Cross-Platform play between consoles, in this case between the Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
The update will be coming this summer, and cross-console play will allow saved data, purchased content, and world progress to transfer from older versions of the game.
Microsoft has expressed interest in cross-console play with Sony, but so far Sony has been reluctant to embrace the invitation. At least Nintendo joining the fray will allow them to enjoy a healthier install base when it comes to online play from day one.
Are you excited to play with players from Xbox One and PC?
