Download Other Regions’ Splatfest Demos to Play for up to 12 Hours

Since the Switch is not region locked, we can access eShops from other countries. This means we can download their demos, such as the Splatoon 2 Splatfest World Premiere. There are three different versions of this demo: the US/AU version, the EU version, and the JP version. All three versions have their Splatfests at different times, with each lasting for four hours. None of these times overlap so you can get a total of 12 hours of Splatfests on Saturday, July 15th.

Here are each version’s times:

JP: 1:00am-5:00am PST/9:00-13:00 BST

EU: 9:00am-1:00pm PST/17:00-21:00 BST

US/AU: 3:00pm-7:00pm PST/23:00-3:00 BST

To access another country’s eShop, create another Nintendo Account at accounts.nintendo.com. Log into that account at the same website and go into the “User Info” tab. Find the “Country/region of residence” area and change it to the country of the eShop you would like to access. Then on your Switch, create another user and link the Nintendo Account you just created to that user. You can then open the eShop with that user to download the Splatoon 2 Splatfest World Premiere for that region!

Please Note: Each download of the Splatoon 2 Splatfest World Premiere takes up 1.5GB of space. You will also need to keep the user of the alternate region in order to play that region’s demo.
