Smash can wait…
Ever since the Nintendo Switch was announced, everyone has expected Smash Bros. to come to the system, either as a port of the Wii U version which would be the likeliest of scenarios, or as a new edition of the game, which would be harder to believe this soon in the Switch’s lifecycle.
Enter Brawlout, the Smash-esque game developed by Angry Mob Games.
Hailed as a game that mixes the precision of violent fighters with a gorgeous animated style, Brawlout seems perfect to fill that void left on the Nintendo Switch by Smash Bros., although Angry Mob Games doesn’t want you to downplay Brawlout as just a “clone”.
Instead, this is a game looking to find a home in a fighting genre that has long been dominated by Nintendo’s favorite fighter. With Brawlout, you can look forward to engaging friends and foes alike both locally and online in casual matches and even weekly competitive tournaments.
Also, Hyper Light Drifter will be a guest star in the game:
Angry Mob Games also released a reveal trailer on their YouTube page:
The game is currently available in STEAM and can be expected to be available on the Nintendo Switch sometime in either November or December.
