Magnus, developer behind Re: Legend, had office broken into, PCs stolen

Just a small bump on the road

In a sad turn of events reported by Falk over at NeoGAF, Magnus’ office were broken into and their computers stolen, with the perpetrators still at large. It does seem, however, that they had the data backed up and development on the game should not be affected other than having to have their computers replaced.

Re: Legend, a chibi-style fantasy action game by Magnus was previously available on Kickstarter and subsequently met over 900% of its initial goal, meeting the stretch goal for it to be available on the Nintendo Switch as well as every other goal made available.

If you aren’t yet familiar with Re: Legend, Magnus calls it “An all-encompassing RPG-simulator hybrid with strong monster-raising and multiplayer features.” It exhibits similar traits to games like Rune Factory and looks like a perfect addition to the Nintendo Switch.

The game itself is scheduled for release sometime around June 2018, so let’s hope they have ample time to overcome this and continue working at the same capacity as before.
