Ever since the release of the Nintendo Switch, Square Enix has been one of the biggest third-party supporters on the system, with games like Dragon Quest Heroes I & II, I am Setsuna, and the Secret of Mana Collection having already graced the system.
Dragon Quest Builders is another entry getting ready to come to the Nintendo Switch, and it seems perfect for the console/handheld hybrid. During this years’ Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix shows extensive gameplay on the game.
Dragon Quest Builders is already available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PlayStation 3 and is now making its way to the Nintendo Switch. Square Enix also announced that Dragon Quest Builders 2 will also come to the Nintendo Switch.
The game itself features the same charm from the Dragon Quest series with similar world-building elements to Minecraft. What separates this title is the third-person view of the characters as well as having a pretty extensive storyline attached to building the environments.
Dragon Quest Builders is coming to the Nintendo Switch in Q1 2018 in Japan and Western territories.
