By now the Nintendo Switch has been universally praised as a runaway success, far surpassing Nintendo’s own expectations to the point they’ve had to increase production to attempt to meet demand, and they still haven’t been able to do so.

There has been stories highlighting why Nintendo struggled to keep pace, from Nintendo competing against Apple for parts to the Wii U’s failure forcing them to temper their expectations, but Kimishima had stated previously that Nintendo was getting ready to increase production to 10 million Switch units for the fiscal year.

Now, if the Digitimes are to be believed, Nintendo is once again preparing to ramp up production, this time supplying 2 million Nintendo Switch units a month:

With Super Mario Odyssey coming out at the end of this month, following by Black Friday in November and then Christmas, people predict that Nintendo Switch demand will be sky high, and hopefully will be able to have the system readily available for anyone that wants to pick it up.
