Last week Capcom revealed to us what they are planning on releasing on Switch in the upcoming future. They discussed Ace Attorney as one of their main points, and a recent post by Kotaku UK further let’s us know what is really going to be coming.
If the site is to be believed, two compilations will be launched in the first half of the 2018 / 2019 financial year, which falls between April and October 2018. The initial release will be a bundle of the first three Ace Attorneys. While the other will most likely be a compilation of the other entries. We are unaware at the moment if these are direct ports or enhancements, but the later would make much more sense.
Kotaku UK adds that Capcom is also working on a new entry for the Nintendo Switch, which will star Phoenix Wright as the main character once again. The new game is planned to contain five cases at launch. This release will come simultaneously on Switch and Mobile in 2018, supposedly, meaning Capcom wants to go all in for the console.
If this rumor turns out to be true, the Switch will have multiple Ace Attorney games by late 2019.
